Hardware documentation
Everything here describes Rev B, the version the campaign ships. It is written for the person deciding whether to build on this platform, which means it leads with the connectors, the contracts and the dimensions rather than the pitch.
Start here
Section titled “Start here” Pinout Every pin on the Daisy's 40-pin header, the general-purpose I/O connectors, and the SPI expansion header.
Satellite chain The wire contract: connector, line rate, how the ring closes itself, frame layout and slot kinds.
Mechanical Board outlines, the 25 mm panel grid, and how boards mount inside an enclosure.
What is not here yet
Section titled “What is not here yet”The firmware side lives in rodeo-sdk. Enclosure drawings and a panel template are still to be written. So is a bring-up guide, which no longer waits on hardware — it waits on someone writing down what the last fortnight taught.
The sources
Section titled “The sources”These pages summarise documents in the repository, which stay authoritative:
| Document | What it covers |
|---|---|
hardware/rodeo-motherboard/docs/rev-b.md | The motherboard: every decision, with the reasoning and what still needs bench work |
hardware/rodeo-motherboard/docs/RODEO_SATELLITE_CHAIN_CONTRACT.md | The satellite chain, in full: framing, discovery, commands, fault codes, timing |
